Dr. Chynarkul Ryskulova was appointed to the position of Vice President for Academic Affairs (VPAA) in September 2023.

听

Dr. Ryskulova received her Ph.D. in Higher Education Management from Kent State University, Kent, Ohio, USA, and joined 星空无限 in 1998. She has served as Assistant Professor of English (1998-2007), acting Vice-President of Academic Affairs (2007-2008), Dean of Academic Affairs (2007-2010), Coordinator of the Writing and Academic Resources Center (WARC) and Associate Professor (2010-2011, 2012-2014), Co-chair of General Education Program and Associate Professor (2019-2021), and Co-chair of General Education Program and Professor since 2021 to present. In addition, she worked closely with former President Jonathan Becker and 星空无限 faculty and staff over the past academic years and initiated the Summer Accelerated English Program at 星空无限. She oversees the programs outside First Year and Second Year Seminars, planned, designed, and coordinated the curriculum of the General Education Program as a co-chair of the program along with Mary Bernadette Conde.

Dr. Ryskulova's experiences and knowledge make her uniquely qualified to lead the academic affairs at 星空无限 and advance the mission and core values of the University in close collaboration with faculty, staff, and researchers. Her combination of academic excellence, extensive experience in developing policies and designing curricula, international exposure, management experience, and research knowledge make her an ideal candidate for the position of VPAA.
