Goals:
- Develop a good understanding of the concepts and ideas of social entrepreneurship, design thinking, social innovation, agile methodologies, and sustainable development.
- Provide cross-disciplinary programs by constantly revising its existing concentrations to meet the new challenges of a changing world.
- Increase synergy between Social entrepreneurship and Design thinking theories and stakeholders through interdisciplinary students鈥 research, capstone projects, internships, civic engagement initiatives and social startups.
- Cultivate future leaders with social entrepreneurship and design thinking skills and knowledge who are ready to solve problems and respond to global and regional challenges.
- Commit to the key tenets of the liberal arts and sciences: academic excellence, academic freedom, creativity, critical thinking, and flexibility.听
- Enable students to create sustainable innovative solutions or social enterprises that address social, economic, and environmental challenges, with a focus on long-term global and regional development.听
Learning Outcomes:
- Communicate, analyze, synthesize, contextualize ideas in a coherent, logical and convincing way in an interdisciplinary context, taking into account Social Entrepreneurship concepts
- Translate theory into practice by actively participating in capstone projects, internships, consulting and civic engagement.
- Develop a good understanding of the basic concepts and ideas of social entrepreneurship, design thinking, social innovation, Agile and sustainable development.
- Develop skills for collaborative, interdisciplinary work and the ability to create innovative solutions for social, environmental, economic challenges in a changing world.
